HART is the public transportation provider in Hillsborough County which coverage area is 1,266 square miles. HART provides transit service to the cities of Tampa, Temple Terrace, and parts of unincorporated Hillsborough County. HART provides transit service with 29 local, 7 express, and 5 limited express routes, three in-towner buses within Downtown Tampa along with 5 flex service areas to the cities of Tampa, Temple Terrace, and parts of unincorporated Hillsborough County. HART is the operator of the TECO Line Streetcar System of 2.7 miles with 10 historic replica streetcars. In 2013, HART launched MetroRapid North-South service that operates north on Nebraska Avenue from downtown Tampa, east along Fletcher Avenue to the vicinity of Telecom Park (west of I-75). In 2016, HART implemented two new services: 1) Paratransit Customer Choice Voucher Program for same day paratransit service- 24/7 and 2) HyperLINK pilot project, First Mile/Last Mile solution that operates with a 3-mile radius of designated bus stops in selected zones. Three express routes serve adjacent Pinellas and Pasco Counties.
