Take a one-time trip for much less than you would ever pay at the pump, or save even more with fare cards for multiple trips or unlimited use. Whether you are going to work, to the store or simply out on the town, there’s no more affordable way to get around than public transportation with HART.

Regulations
Responsibility - HART and its agents assume no responsibility for lost, stolen or mutilated fare cards. Cards are nonredeemable, nonrefundable, and nontransferable.
Exchanges - To help make your ride more enjoyable, please check your HARTride Card at the time of purchase to
ensure you have the correct fare card. To exchange your HARTride Card, present the incorrect or malfunctioning card at HART's Marion Transit Center
or the HART on Franklin Transit Center no later than close of business the day after your purchase date. Your HARTride Card must be unused to receive consideration for exchange.
Cash Fares - This type of fare requires exact change.
Express Passes - These passes can be used on local,
express, shuttle and connector routes.
Discount Fares - Passengers MUST have a HART discount
permit or paratransit permit to ride for a discount fare, with the exception of Medicare cardholders (see below). Passengers using a discount fare HARTride Card without the proper HART
permit will be charged the full cash fare of $1.75 each time they ride. To learn more about HART discount permits, click here.
Proper HART or PSTA identification is required to receive discount fare: Seniors, 65 years and older; Youth, 5-17 years; People with Disabilities. Effective November 8, 2009, Medicare cardholders need only show their original red, white and blue Medicare card onboard to obtain the discount. Students older than 17 years of age may purchase HARTride cards at a 25% discount from participating educational institutions with proper student I.D.
HART discount permits can be purchased at Marion Transit Center, HART on Franklin Transit Center, University Area Transit Center,
executive offices, upon proof of eligibility. Call the HARTinfo Line at (813) 254-4278 for further details on
discount permit qualifications.
Children - Age 4 and younger ride free when no taller than the yellow height line and accompanied by a paying adult. If a child is taller than the yellow height line, proper ID is required.
Vanpools - Information can be obtained from Bay Area Commuter Services at 1-800-998-RIDE (7433).
Paratransit - Fares for HARTPlus paratransit services including HARTaccess and HARTlink can be obtained by calling the HARTinfo Line.
Exact change only. Bus operator does not carry change.
No bills larger than $1.00. When purchasing your 1-Day Unlimited Ride card from on board the bus, tell the bus operator the fare card category (either local, premium or discount) BEFORE inserting the exact change into the farebox.
