HART’S PERMIT PROGRAMS

HART offers a variety of discount fare permit programs. Each permit category is listed below. If you have any questions, please call the HARTinfo Line at (813) 254-4278 or TDD at (813) 626-9158.

Permits are issued at the following locations:
HART on Franklin
403 N. Franklin Street

Marion Transit Center
1211 N. Marion Street

HART’s Operations Facility

4305 E. 21st Avenue

University Area Transit Center
13110 N. 27th Street

Senior Permit

• Must be age 65 or older
• State of Florida I.D. required
• $2.50 fee, valid for five years

Youth Permit

• Must be between the ages of 5 and 17
• Original birth certificate, passport, state ID or Hillsborough County School documentation with typed birthdate
• $2.50 fee, valid for two years or until 18th birthday

Medicare Cardholders

• Effective November 8, 2009, Medicare participants need only show their original red, white and blue Medicare card onboard to obtain the discount fare to ride. No HART disocunt permit will be required.

Disabled Permit

• Must fill out a HART disabled patron application and have proper doctor certification
• $2.50 fee, permanent disability valid for five years; temporary condition valid for six months

All permits subject to HART rules and regulations.  Replacement permits are $5.00.

Adult Student Fare Program
