Update of the HART Transit Development Plan

The TDP is HART’s business plan, presenting services and projects and how they will be funded over the upcoming ten-year period. Transit agencies receiving funding from the Florida Department of Transportation are required to prepare annual updates to their Transit Development Plan. As part of the update, the current funding situation is reviewed, along with priorities for services and projects.

Staff will be reviewing comments and then developing recommendations on future service priorities. Public outreach on the recommendations is scheduled as follows:

Marion Transit Center, 1211 N. Marion St., August 27, 6am-9am and 3pm-6pm

Public Hearing
Marion Transit Center, 1211 N. Marion St., September 10
Drop-In Session, 4:00pm-5:00pm
Formal Public Hearing, 5:00pm-6:00pm

Please return comments by 5pm on September 10, 2008.

All comments received will be reviewed and considered in the development of the final plan. The draft plan is scheduled to be reviewed by the HART Board at its September 22, 2008 meeting.
