The departments of the Finance Division include Administration, Accounting, Treasury Management and Budget. Each serves with an eye to the efficiency that enables us to offer the citizens of Hillsborough County the most affordable transportation options possible. Administration
Administration oversees the operations of the Division and serves as quality controller of external departmental comprehensive reports. The division also assists external auditors and formulates policies for financial operating efficiency in other departments.
Accounting
The primary responsibility of the Accounting Department is to ensure that adequate funds are maintained for all disbursements of HART in both payroll and accounts payable areas. The Department is also responsible for the processing of all transactions through the Great Plains information system and the distribution of management and departmental reports that are generated by the system.
Treasury
Our Treasury Department accounts for and monitors all revenues received by HART. The Department assures sufficiency of working capital by making funds available when needed and maximizes return on capital through the administration of a prudent investment program.
Budget
The Budget Department is primarily responsible for coordinating the preparation of the HART budget and review processes, and monitoring budget expenditures. The Department also performs research and cost-benefit analysis of proposed HART projects.
